It is a traditional calendar in which odd-numbered months always consist of 30 days, while even-numbered months always consist of 29 days, except for the twelfth month, Dhu al-Hijjah, which can have 30 days in a leap year.
The Fatimid calendar is attributed to Imam Jaffer Al-Sadiq PBUH and was used during the Fatimid era in Egypt by the Fatimid Caliphs.
